before and after

followed the tutorial given by Sergio Mereces, a talented architectural 3d visualizer. The modelling are pretty much simple, just series of stacking blocks with some interior details (furniture's / lighting / etc), the terrain are done by using multiscatter and placing some 3d grass and trees and the back portion of the building. In the tutorial, Mereces did the post production using after effects (if im not mistaken), however, due to unfamiliarity to the software, i opted to do the post production of the image using adobe lightroom. The tutorial can be found here,

MSc Dissertation : Urbanization of Malaysia: improvement of sustainable urban transportation methods through an Urban Cyclist point of view

I have included a download link within this post and you will be able to download the final proposal of the dissertation. The text below are taken from the abstract of the thesis.

Urbanization of Malaysia: improvement of sustainable urban transportation methods through an Urban Cyclist point of view

This research will investigate the connection between the urbanization of Malaysian cities and how cycling could improve Malaysian cities to not only be urbanize and modern, but also to maintain the level of sustainability that other cities are trying to achieve in this era of global warming. The rise of awareness in green technology and sustainability issues amongst Malaysians (Nekmat, 2010), are to be seen as a positive start into pushing the boundaries of developing a sustainable city. Other than that, the communities in Malaysia are also keen on improving the level of urban cycling within most of the major cities within Malaysia, as cycling is seen to be the best way to cope with the increased carbon level released by motorized vehicles. The city that has taken initiative includes Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur. (Babulai, 2012) It is known that European cities such as Copenhagen, which have over 65% of their total population owning bike and astonishingly, over 60% of Copenhageners used bikes as their main transport method. The city also saves a total of 90,000 tons of CO2 emissions yearly (Ensign, 2007). Copenhagen is set to be the best example that it is not impossible to achieve the goal to create a cycling city.

several on-site sketches that i have produce during the recent trip. The first picture shows FLW's Guggenheim Museum interior sketch. There are no photography allowed within the upper floors of the building, however you can take pictures on the lobby and quite frankly, the best view of the building is within the areas of the lobby.
